Job Description:
UNCW Dining Sustainability is accepting student internship applications to serve as paid Sustainability Ambassadors. The chosen applicant will have the opportunity to participate in educational outreach events and gain experiential knowledge in the field of food service sustainability. Our Sustainability programs include multi-stream waste diversion, microgreens and shoots, aquaponics, environmental grants and certifications, sustainability education, and more!
Class Credit:
This internship aligns with EVS curriculums allowing class credit for EVS 490, EVS 497, and EVS 597.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at UNC Wilmington
- Motivated, Self-Starter who is flexible, pro-active and quick to learn
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous knowledge, experience or interest in sustainability, food service and sustainable food issues
- Comfortable interacting with others in various settings, one on one or in groups
- Microsoft Office Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Student Responsiblities:
- Manage and maintain:
- Oour microgreens and shoots operation
- An aquaponics system
- Multiple hydroponics systems
- Garden Beds
- Assisting with events
- Set up and break down
- Speaking with and educating students on sustainability on campus
- Must be comfortable dealing with waste
- Social media content creation
- General office assistance and research
